Sometimes your day just sucks.
- Charles Spurgeon
I can’t wait for this weekend. Mainly because I have family coming in town for labor day. It will be a time to relax, unwind, and enjoy time with some of my favorite people in the world.
Also, we will be making s’mores—which I have been craving for months now. beyond excited.
In life we are going to mess up. We are going to hurt other people. We are going to hurt ourselves. God doesn’t expect perfection from us; therefore, we cannot expect it from ourselves or others. Every single person on this planet is flawed, scarred, and a sinner. However, we don’t have to live in fear of all the possible ways we can [and will] mess up. We are going to mess up. But The Lord promises that He will help strengthen us; He will pick us up in His hands when we fall; He will encourage us; He will protect us… And all we have to do is look to Him, seek Him, put Him first in our lives and in our relationships. I’m so thankful for a Savior who cares so much about me that He was willing to die for me. Jesus is the only One who will never let me down no matter how many times I let Him down.
Sound and picture is off, but oh we’ll! A little uke tune for this sweet Saturday morning.
I realized yesterday that with the busyness of life recently, I couldn’t remember the last time I had played. So, I have committed to playing every day, even if it’s just one song. Make time [every single day] to do what you love.

The other night me and Jt went out to Topsail Island to watch the sunset… Then decided, hey- why not just stay all night and watch the sunrise?
So we did.
After a night of alternating between inside the truck [with the heat] and out on the truck bed [with the rain], gnats and sand fleas, and a vehicle not starting for 4 hours the morning…
We decided that there was no one we would rather have endured [i mean enjoyed] it with.
Thankful to have a man who is always up for an adventure!
